Testing ZigBoat starter pack before installing it on boat. Was able to connect to the zigboat gateway network but after scanning QR code or manually entering serial number and installation code, connection to router times out. Tried both Android and iOS; iOS gave error code 1001 “connection trouble”

Can you check if the mobile phone still connected to the zigboat wifi?
Can try to reset the unit and try again?

Yes, we verified that both phones were connected to the Zigboat network and have reset the router twice.

The place we bought the start kit from sent it badly packaged; would this code suggest internal damage to the router?

To be clear, the network establishes and remains up. The problem is that nothing can connect to it in order to get to the setup page so the Zigboat network can be connected to the internet.

When you try to connect the Zigboat to the wifi to surf on internet, you use the page Sta mode?
Because the page Wifi is for set up the zigboat wifi.

Following the user installation manual, once the phone is connected to the Zigboat network, the page where the network connection is configured should appear.
        It does not appear.
The error message eventually appears once the connection times out.
The app will not connect to the network in order to configure the network so it can connect to internet signal.

This was only resolved by replacing the gateway unit. The US operations office sent us a replacement under warranty and the unit appears to work as expected.
Still can’t get the “open porthole” sensor to send us an SMS but we’re working through the steps now.

        Nice to hear that.
About the port sensor, I suggest to check the battery and in case try to put the sensor near the gateway to check if it send data to the gateway.
